Back9 Parlor runs its golf leagues on this website. This page explains what information the league keeps about you, who can see it, and how to have it removed. Questions go to info@back9parlor.com.
What’s public
Anyone with the link can see the league pages without signing in. They show team names, players’ full names, standings, match results, handicaps and playoff brackets. These pages can be cached and shared like any other web page, and past seasons stay visible after they end.
Your email address and phone number are never shown on the public pages, and other players can’t see them. Only league staff can, after signing in.
What we collect
- Player details — first and last name, email address and phone number for each player on a team, plus the team name. These come from the sign-up form or from league staff entering your team.
- Golf — hole-by-hole scores, the handicaps calculated from them, and match and playoff results.
- “Need a partner?” requests — name, email, and optionally a phone number, preferred night and a note about yourself.
- Your account, if you sign in — your name and email. If you choose Google sign-in, Google shares your name, email and profile picture, and the site stores the sign-in tokens Google issues for your account.
- Staff notes on outreach — a record of messages staff sent to teams, like invitation reminders.
- Abuse protection — to limit sign-in attempts and emails, the site keeps short-lived counters keyed to an IP address or email address. They expire on their own.
Signing in
You sign in with Google or with a one-time link sent to your email. No passwords are created or stored. A cookie keeps you signed in.
How it’s used
Only to run the league: building the schedule, recording scores, calculating handicaps and standings, and getting in touch about your team. The site sends sign-in links, invitations and league notices by email. There’s no advertising and no analytics tracking, and your information is not sold or rented to anyone.
Services that handle it
- Resend delivers the site’s emails.
- Netlify hosts the website.
- Neon hosts the database.
- Google handles sign-in if you choose it, and backup copies of the database are kept on Google Drive.
How long it’s kept
A sign-up that isn’t confirmed from its email link expires after 24 hours and is then deleted. Everything else is kept for as long as the league runs, so past seasons’ results and handicaps stay accurate, unless you ask for it to be removed.
Removing your information
Email info@back9parlor.com, where league staff read and answer messages. We’ll delete your email address, phone number and sign-in account. Your scores are tied to your team’s results, and other teams’ standings depend on those results, so we don’t erase matches that were played. Instead we take your name off the team.
Changes
If what the site collects or shows changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change with it.
